The Oakland Ballet’s 2005 Season

The Oakland Ballet’s 2005 season was rather plagued by budget issues, but we did manage to put together some excellent shows. As Technical Director and resident lighting designer, the bulk of the lighting of these shows was left to me. I lit excerpts from Bronislava Nijinska’s ballets Les Noces and Les Biches as well as the full ballets Eugene Loring’s Billy the Kid, Michael Lowe’s Double Happiness, Ronn Guidi’s Peter and the Wolf, and Scott Rink’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. As Technical Director, I also coordinated production with the union crews as well as the other lighting designer.
